Our Hiring process

At Agile IT, we push to make our hiring process as straightforward and transparent as possible so we can really understand your distinct strengths and capabilities that will make you successful in the position.

We are committed to providing you with guidance and support. This is why we’ve put together a little overview on what to expect, how to prepare for an Agile IT interview, and our commitment to you throughout the hiring process.

Our interview process tends to take around three to four weeks to complete and is split across four stages. This may vary depending on the role; but you can expect to go through most of these stages during your journey with us

  • Resume

    Resume

Once we have received your resume, a member of our Talent team will determine if your resume aligns with our needs. Once matched, we will get in touch to schedule an exploratory phone call.

The initial call will last around 30 minutes. During this time, we will chat about who you are, who we are, what you can bring to the table, and why you knocked on our door (we appreciate it!).

  • Writing Sample

    Writing Sample

For most positions, we will ask you to provide a writing sample. We hold the philosophy that writing is thinking, and through the writing process, we not only learn a lot about the business and ideas to continue its growth, but we also learn a lot about ourselves and how we think about and approach important business problems. Documentation is also crucial for technical implementation as it allows for knowledge transfer, scalability, compliance, training, support, and business continuity.

Our process moves quickly; we look for you to send a writing sample within a week of your initial interview. The writing sample can be a previous (and redacted) security assessment, detailed implementation plan, or other technical documentation you have written such as security policies, POA&Ms, SSPs, and even training materials. Once we have received your writing sample, we’ll review it and get back to you to let you know if you’re moving forward in the process.

  • Manager Interview

    Manager Interview

This interview will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams. You may want to take the time to double check your Teams connectivity prior to this conversation. You will have the opportunity to meet your potential Manager and other stakeholders across the business who will focus on technical and competency driven inquiries. Most interviews last around 1-1.5 hours and we have a relaxed dress code, so no need to dress all fancy during the meeting.

During the Manager interviews, we will be assessing your fit for the position. Remember that this is also your chance to interview us to see if we are a good fit for you - we always leave 5-10 minutes at the end of each interview for you to ask any questions, so make a note of anything you would be interested to know from our hiring team.

  • Feedback

    Feedback

Once you have finished your interviews, our team will meet to determine if we will be moving forward with an offer of employment. Regardless of the outcome, we always ensure all candidates are provided feedback at every stage of the process.

  • Discover more

Interviews are a two-way conversation, so take the opportunity to ask the hiring team any questions you have regarding the role, our culture, and future strategic plans. If something at work is key to your success, we want to hear about it.
